EDU 492 - Assessment and Services for Students with Disabilities


This methodology course explores current knowledge and best practice in the screening, referral, assessment, and placement procedures necessary to identify and qualify learners with disabilities for special education services. The significant issues of learners with disabilities is reviewed through discussions of the developmental, academic, behavioral, social, communication, vocational, and community life skill needs of individual learners in order to develop and implement effective programs.
