CDV 3020 - Development of Children and Adolescents

This course is the study of physical, social, emotional, and intellectual growth in the development of the child, from prenatal months to adolescent years. Practical application is developed through field experience, journaling, and observations.  This course also provides students with a comprehensive study of family development.  Students will explore family education models including an understanding of diversity among families and childrearing practices.  Students will strengthen their ability to meet needs of families by developing a parent education workshop and handbook.  This course needs to be passed with a C or better before proceeding with any other course in the program.
